Samsung Electronics Co. will unveil a wide range of new screen-appliance products equipped with its Artificial Intelligence (AI) Home solution at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, the world‘s largest information technology (IT) and home appliance exhibition taking place in Las Vegas, the United States, in January 2025.

According to the South Korean tech giant on Wednesday, AI Home is a solution that enables users to remotely monitor and control all home appliances connected to Samsung’s smart home platform, SmartThings, through a touchscreen embedded in the devices.

The newly introduced AI Home-powered screen appliances include the Bespoke refrigerator with a 9-inch touchscreen and the Bespoke washer and dryer, each featuring a 7-inch touchscreen.

Consumers can see the entire connected home appliances at a glance via the screen’s Map view and control their power.

Future updates will include remote control features such as changing product modes and adjusting temperatures.

Users can also utilize Bixby, the built-in AI voice assistant, to search for and control content, answer calls, and check product usage guides with voice commands.

The new devices can also connect to the internet, allowing users to check the weather via apps or enjoy video and music content through YouTube and Spotify apps.

The Bespoke Family Hub refrigerator and the Bespoke refrigerator with a 9-inch touchscreen, in particular, can function as SmartThings Hubs, eliminating the need for a separate hub to control devices like door locks, curtains, blinds, and lighting.

The appliances come pre-installed with the Samsung TV Plus app, enabling access to various video content through the screen.

They also feature Voice ID, which can recognize and distinguish voices of different family members.

“Samsung’s screen appliances offer a seamless device connection experience through AI Home-based screens, providing a clear competitive edge,” said Moon Jong-seung, vice president and head of the Digital Appliances (DA) Business Division at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to introduce various AI appliances and services that reduce household chores and enhance connected living experiences.”

Samsung Electronics has been introducing a wide range of screen appliances under its “Screen Everywhere” vision to ease household chores with advanced connectivity powered by its AI Home.

These include the Bespoke AI Family Hub with a large 32-inch touchscreen and the Bespoke AI Combo Washer-Dryer with 7-inch and 4.3-inch touchscreens, available both at home and abroad.

The lineup has also expanded overseas with 7-inch screen-based ovens and induction ranges.
