Kolmar Korea Co., South Korea’s leading cosmetics original design manufacturing (ODM) company, said on Tuesday that it has completed construction of its second manufacturing facility in China with hopes to boost its presence in the biggest market for Korean beauty products.
Kolmar Wuxi - the company’s operation in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province - is Kolmar Korea’s second overseas entity in China located on 63,117 square meter land area with total floor area of 74,600 square meters. It would be the single largest cosmetics manufacturing facility in China.
Kolmar Wuxi will provide service to customers in China’s southeast region while Kolmar Korea’s existing facility in Beijing will target the northern region with hopes to solidify its position as an ODM company in China’s cosmetics market where consumer trends have been changing rapidly.
With the latest addition, Kolmar Korea’s total production capacity has reached 500 million units annually including skincare and makeup items.
Kolmar Korea, meanwhile, also plans to boost its research and development capability by expanding related facility and operations team in Wuxi and Shanghai in addition to its research center in Beijing to respond swiftly to customer needs in China’s southeast region covering Shanghai and Guangzhou.
