LG Uplus Corp. inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with global gaming company Mobirix Corp. as it aims to expand into vehicle-based game development.
According to the telecom company on Tuesday, LG Uplus is preparing to enter the vehicle gaming market, starting with simple touch-based games as it believes these types of casual games are suitable in a vehicle environment.
Under this collaboration, LG Uplus will be responsible for building and operating the gaming portal while Mobirix will focus on game development and supply that is specifically optimized for vehicle platforms. Moving forward, LG Uplus aims to become competitive in the mobility sector with its venture into the in-car gaming sector.
