파리 봉쇄 속의 시리아인 무용수, Sameer Al-DOUMY / AFP AFP presents a photo essay of 11 pictures by Sameer al-Doumy of the Syrian dancer Yara Al-Hasbani performing in Paris on the 37th day of a strict lockdown in France to stop the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). - Yara al-Hasbani was putting the finishing touches to her make-up for a performance of quot;Romeo and Julietquot; in Damascus when she found out her father had been tortured to death. His body was returned to the family 23 days after he was arrested by Syrian authorities, and when she began receiving threats herself, she knew she couldnapos;t stay in Damascus. Hasbani, her mother and two siblings came to France three years ago after they were granted refugee visas in Europe. First arrived in Rochefort, a scenic port town in the southwest of France, she moved to Paris in 2016, a city where she found it difficult to settle at first. But her first visit to the famous Palais Garnier theatre opened the emotional floodgates and made her create the performance quot;Unstoppable,quot; a 12-minute solo retracing her journey to exile. Her dance may be silent, she said once, but raising her voice so people don't forget it.

[문화뉴스 MHN 서민종 기자] 프랑스 파리의 'Lockdown'이 5월 11일까지 연장된 가운데 한 시리아인 무용수 Yara Al-Hasbani가 파리의 유명 명소들 앞에서 춤추는 사진 11장을 담은 포토 에세이를 선보였다.

Yara Al-Hasbani는 Damascus에서 아버지가 고문을 당하다 서거하신 것을 알게 되었고, 아버지의 시신이 체포된지 23일 만에 가족의 품으로 돌아왔다. 그 후 그녀의 신변에 지속적으로 위협이 가해져 결국 3년 전 유럽에서 난민 비자를 받아 프랑스로 이주했다.

처음 정착지는 프랑스 남부의 항구도시인 Rochefort였으나 2016년 프랑스로 이사했다. 파리에서 적응을 잘하지 못 했으나 Palais Garnier에 방문한 이후 Yara Al-Hasbani는 무용에 눈을 떴다고 한다.
