지난 한 해 중국이 우리 농식품 통관을 거부하는 사례가 전년도보다 크게 줄어든데 이어 올해 1∼3월에는 수출도 늘어난 것으로 나타났다. 2017년 시작됐던 '사드(THAAD•고고도미사일) 한파'가 걷히고 있다는 분석이 나온다.
Clearance refusal for South Korea’s food and agricultural product exports to China plunged 88.5 percent last year from a year ago in another sign of thaw in ties between Seoul and Beijing after a year-long diplomatic spat over Korea’s installation of a U.S. antimissile system.
23일 농림축산식품부에 따르면 지난해 중국 당국의 우리 농식품 통관 거부 건수는 46건으로, 2017년 399건보다 무려 88.5% 줄어들었다. 지난해 중국이 전 세계 농식품 수출국을 대상으로 한 통관 거부는 1천369건에 달했다. 이중 한국 비중은 3.4%로 나타났다.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on Tuesday, China’s customs authority suspended clearance of foods and agricultural products shipments from Korea by 46 times last year, down a whopping 88.5 percent from a year earlier. The figures took up 3.4 percent of all refusals.
대만이 162건으로 가장 많았고, 미국 150건•이탈리아 145건•일본 116건 등이었다.
Shipments from Taiwan were suspended the most by 162 times, from the U.S. 150, Italy 145, and Japan 116.
지난해 중국이 한국 농식품의 통관을 거부한 품목은 해조류 9건, 소스류 8건, 과자류 6건, 면류와 음료류 각각 3건 등이었다.
Of suspended items from Korea, nine were seaweed, eight sauces, six confectioneries, three noodles and three beverages.
통관 거부 이유로는 '서류 미비'가 24건(52%)로 전체의 절반을 웃돌았고 이어 ▲성분 부적합 14건(30%) ▲상표•포장 문제 4건(9%) ▲위생 4건(9%)이 뒤따랐다.
Clearance was held up after Chinese customs discovered insufficient documents (24 cases), inappropriate ingredients (14 cases), misprinted labels or package problems (four cases), and sanitary issues (four cases).
일본에 이은 제2의 농식품 수출시장인 중국에 우리 정부는 지난해 신선식품 2억993만 달러(약 2천393억6천만원)•가공식품 9억94만 달러(약 1조270억7천만원) 등 총 11억1천88만 달러(약 1조2천664억원)어치를 내다 팔았다.
China is the second biggest export market for Korean foods and agricultural products after Japan. Last year, Korea shipped $1.1 billion worth of foods and agricultural products to China including $209.9 million fresh foods and $900.9 million processed foods.
올해 1∼3월에는 수출이 증가하는 추이를 보이고 있다. 이 기간 수출액은 2억4천154만4천 달러(약 2천753억8천만원)로 지난해 같은 기간보다 17.9% 증가했다고 농식품부는 설명했다. 수출 품목별로는 ▲라면 2천315만2천700 달러(약 262억9천만원) ▲맥주 1천651만1천100 달러(약 188억2천만원) ▲인삼류 1천627만8천900 달러(약 185억6천만원) 순이었다. 지난해 같은 기간과 비교해 라면은 46.8%, 인삼류는 55.2%나 대중 수출액이 증가해 눈길을 끌었다.
Shipments to China for the first three months of this year also rose 17.9 percent to total $241.5 million worth, according to the ministry. Instant noodle ramyeon sold $23.2 million worth (up 46.8 percent on year), beer $16.5 million worth, and ginseng products $16.3 million worth (up 55.2 percent).
