(SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, France, July 27, 2017 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) Orolia, through its McMurdo brand, the most trusted name in emergency readiness and response, announced today that the Civil Aviation Authority of (CAAS) and the Maritime and Port Authority of (MPA) have selected McMurdo's Medium-altitude Earth Orbit Search and Rescue (MEOSAR) ground system to support search and rescue missions.

This initiative will deliver the latest Search and Rescue Satellite-aided Tracking (SARSAT) technology to the Search and Rescue Region, providing accurate, reliable data for search and rescue crews to locate people in distress within minutes, thereby minimizing the time spent in distress conditions.

As part of the MEOSAR ground system contract, McMurdo will deliver a six-channel Medium-altitude Earth Orbit Local User Terminal (MEOLUT) system, including hardware, installation, systems integration, testing, commissioning, training and program management services. The contract also includes delivery of McMurdo's PRISMA MCCNet, which provides a complete Cospas-Sarsat commissionable Mission Control Center; and PRISMA RCCNet, a command and control platform for SAR incidents.
