특허를 신청한 이 방법을 적용하면, 메일을 보내는 사람과 받는 사람 모두 모바일폰으로 위도와 경도를 찾고, 컴퓨터 시스템에 위도, 경도 및 전화번호를 등록할 수 있다. 배달원이 시스템 공지마다 픽업 서비스를 제공할 수 있고, 시스템은 수신자의 위도와 경도에 따라 최상의 배송 경로와 순서를 찾아낼 수 있다. 배달원은 더 이상 수많은 도로와 건물의 위치를 외울 필요가 없어진다. 기존 방식은 확실히 효율성이 떨어지는 우편 배송 방식이었다. 그에 따라 우편물을 보내는 사람, 받는 사람 및 배달원이 모두 모바일 앱을 사용함으로써 업무를 더욱 수월하게 진행할 수 있다. 누구나 스마트폰 키패드를 누르기만 함으로써 우편물을 보내고, 우편물의 위치를 보고하거나 문의할 수 있다.

이 혁신적인 기술의 최대 수혜자는 단연 택배회사다. 이 기술의 주된 목적이 주소나 우편번호 기반의 전통적인 자동분류 기술로는 완전하게 해결하지 못하는 분류 문제를 해결하는 것이기 때문이다. 발송자와 수신자의 위도와 경도를 온라인으로 등록하면, 시스템이 해당 지역에 대한 정보 및 택배 회사가 컴퓨터 시스템에 설정해둔 전자지도 상의 각 배달원의 분류 수준을 바탕으로 우편물을 픽업하는 배달원부터 파견된 배달원까지 우편물 경로를 결정할 수 있다.

Providing Latitude and Longitude is Enough to Send Mails -- New Patent May hasten the intelligent revolution in Express Delivery Industry

CHANGSHA, China, March. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The express delivery industry has undergone fast growth along with the rapid development of electronic commerce over the years, while filling in the information such as addresses and zip codes is still a must when people send mails. Once the latitude and longitude of the sender and receiver are registered online, the system can determine the mail path from the collecting courier to the dispatching courier based on the information about the coverage area and the sorting level of each courier pre-set on the electronic map by the express-delivery company in the computer system.

The complete mechanized sorting could be realized by scanning the mail-specific barcode at all sorting points along the whole mail path. Thus, compared with the traditional automatic sorting system, there will be a huge savings in manpower cost each year in sorting global billions of mails. A third-party integration platform based on the patent method allows the mail sender and receiver to choose couriers and let the express delivery company to plan and share the means of transport after mail path calculation.
