Lotte Department Store announced on Sunday that the Lotte Town Christmas Market – unveiled on Thursday – proved its explosive popularity during the pre-reservation stage.

Weekend fast-pass tickets sold out instantly, with the first batch gone in 10 minutes and the second batch in nine, solidifying the market as a leading year-end experiential event.

After attracting 240,000 visitors in 2023 and 400,000 in 2024, the Christmas Market has expanded its scale and content for the new season.

Running for 46 days until January 4, the event occupies a record 2,645 square meters at Lotte Town in Jamsil, southern Seoul. Operating hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with free entry before 4:00 p.m. and paid admission afterwards.

A total of 51 booths, including gift and experiential zones, have been set up in the style of European Christmas markets.

Lotte has also upgraded on-site installations, adding a two-story carousel, a giant Christmas tree, and artificial snow effects. New attractions include the Ghana Chocolate House and a private lounge.

“We expanded popular winter food booths by around 20 percent from last year and expect robust turnout from families and couples seeking year-end experiences,” said an official from Lotte Department Store.
