South Korea‘s KT Corp. introduced a new set-top box on Tuesday, the first device available on 8K television screens. The device not only delivers high-quality video but also includes user-friendly features, including what is known as a content picker, which allows users to select specific scenes from broadcast programs.
At a press conference in Seoul, KT showcased Genie TV Set-top Box 4, the world’s first set-top box for Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) with an 8K UHD chipset. The device automatically adjusts screen brightness and sound settings based on the content type, such as films, news programs, games, and sports.
